  • The first joint meeting of Neighborhood Committee members for orientation and discussion of suggested changes to Windermere Covenants and By-Laws will take place the last week of June.
  • The primary intent for Covenant & By-Law changes is to address rental properties to better protect Windermere home values, remove obsolete developer language, technical corrections, assure consistency with Indiana law, and streamline language to improve understanding.

Enjoy Fun in the Sun – Start with Safety!

PLEASE – For the safety of all enjoying Windermere Park, NO motorized bicycles, E-Motos, skateboards, or other wheeled vehicles are to be ridden on tennis or basketball courts, on the playground, or off-road/trails.  Thank you!

HOA Projects & Maintenance

  • The 106th & Windermere Boulevard entrance refurbishment begins SOON!  The islands will be completely reconfigured, with landscaping design complementing that of the roundabout.  Invasive Bradford Pear trees will be removed, with new landscaping including native plants, trees, and rock gardens creating a pleasant appearance and more sustainable environment.
  • Pond bank stabilization will take place with rip rap installation at three HOA ponds, including:
    • Windermere Park – full perimeter.
    • Glenn Abbey Place/Glenn Abbey Village pond (north of Cheswick Lane, south of Springston Court) – full perimeter.
    • Glenn Abbey Place (corner area of Glenn Cairn Court & Glenn Abbey Lane only).
  • Irrigation systems under repair.  All Windermere irrigation systems have been inspected.  Several areas require repair or replacement of meters, plumbing, and controllers.  Watch for systems to come on line as work is completed this summer.
  • Street tree trimming:  Areas managed by HOA landscaping contract will have trees trimmed in June/July to assure seven feet of clearance over sidewalks and ten feet of clearance over the street at the curb.  This will help assure clear passage on sidewalks, and for emergency equipment, trash trucks, school buses, etc. on neighborhood streets.

The Right Way to Maintain Your Right-of-Way!

  • Trim trees and shrubs extending over sidewalks and streets.  Shrubs must not spill over the sidewalk or street.  Trees must be trimmed to assure minimum clearance of seven feet over the sidewalk.
  • The City of Fishers requests ten-foot minimum branch clearance over streets at the curb and fourteen feet at roadway center to assure proper clearance for fire/emergency equipment and school buses, as well as snowplows in the winter.  The City of Fishers reserves the right to trim right-of-way trees as it sees fit if property owners do not.
  • Sidewalk condition & repairs are property owner responsibility.  Windermere HOA appreciates work done by City of Fishers to level sidewalks over recent years, but there is no assurance this work will continue at taxpayer expense.

More GOOD NEIGHBOR Helpful Hints & Requests

  • We love your pets, BUT...
  • Fishers ordinance and HOA covenants require animals to be contained within your yard, or on a leash when outside your yard.No free roaming – it can put your pet and/or others at risk.
  • COLLECT YOUR PET’S WASTE – no one needs to discover that “gift” in their yard or a common area.
  • Hamilton county ordinance requires a kennel permit for properties with more than three dogs.
  • Respect your neighbors’ right to quietly enjoy their property. If your dog is unable to control its barking, please keep it indoors where it doesn’t disturb neighbors.
  • Please report muskrat issues on Windermere ponds and/or nuisance geese to our Community Manager, B White, at windermerefishers@indyami.com.  Issues on Ironwood Golf Club ponds should be reported to Ironwood.
  • Keep storm drains clear of debris – assure stormwater drains into ponds and streams, not basements!
  • Be classy, not trashy!
    • Store tools, equipment, landscaping supplies and trash cans indoors (garage) per HOA covenants and neighborly courtesy.
    • Trash cans stored outdoors can attract vermin or be spilled during storms (or by vermin – those coyotes and raccoons can be wily!).
    • Trash cans placed on street for same-day collection should be stored by evening.
  • In addition to HOA covenant enforcement, Fishers has launched its “Proactive Neighborhood Maintenance Program” to help assure neighborhoods remain vibrant and properties are maintained per code.Learn more by clicking HERE.
