NEIGHBORHOOD COMMITTEE NOMINEES CONFIRMED
INFORMATION MEETINGS APRIL 18 & 19
Windermere homeowners will soon have the opportunity to elect members of Neighborhood Committees, an important step required to amend Windermere Covenants, Conditions & Restrictions (CCRs) to better protect property values by limiting rental properties.
To learn more about YOUR Neighborhood Committee nominees and the covenant amendment process, every Windermere Owner is invited to participate in information meetings to be held over the weekend of April 18 and 19 (see schedule below).
PLEASE RSVP USING THIS LINK. Thank you!
While the City of Fishers has enacted a 10% rental limit, recent action by the Indiana Legislature (see details here) removes that cap. This leaves HOA covenants as the only way to manage the number of rental properties in a neighborhood.
Neighborhood Committees are critical to the CCR amendment process. The chair of each Neighborhood Committee is the “Voting Member” who votes on any and all CCR or By-Law changes as a representative of neighborhood property owners. Voting Members also elect the HOA Board of Directors.
Committee positions and the Chair/Voting Member, in particular, are important roles potentially affecting every owner’s home value and right to quietly enjoy their property. We are grateful for the following people nominated to serve on their Neighborhood Committee:

Owners in each neighborhood vote to elect members of their particular Neighborhood Committee. Ballots will be mailed to all Owners mid to late April, and may be returned via U.S. Postal Service or scanning and emailing. The owner(s) of a property has (have) one vote per property owned. This process should allow Neighborhood Committees to be fully established by the end of May and begin service June 1.
Thanks again to the nominees, and to all Windermere Owners for supporting this effort. Your participation and input will make this a better process!
