For those who have already purchased pool memberships, your orders are being processed and mailed now. As a reminder, this year all memberships are being mailed to your home address.
The Windermere Pools are in the midst of a complete plaster and tile replacement project. This extensive project has been needed for many years now and will assure pool safety and integrity for Windermere residents and guests for many years to come. It is a significant investment to protect the ongoing value of Windermere amenities that make our neighborhood such an attractive place to call home.
Early stages of the project faced delay as unexpected conditions required additional demolition work not included in the original project scope or contract. This extra work is now completed and our contractor is working diligently to assure new tile and plaster are properly installed in time to support opening the pool Saturday, May 27.
Plaster must be set and the pool filled for approximately 96 hours before pool heaters can be turned on, which means we might have a chilly opening. Kirkpatrick Management Company and the HOA Board are working with the contractor to assure every possible step is taken to complete all work in time to support a successful opening.
Other pool/park projects completed or taking place in coming weeks include:
- Windermere Park parking lot seal coating to be completed soon – note the parking lot at the park will be closed to vehicle traffic during that time.Check back here for updates.
- Pool leaks repaired
- Retractable awnings repair and replacement
- Chaise lounge maintenance and repair
- New pool equipment to automatically dose, monitor and report pool water chemistry
- New playground mulch installed
