2018 Windermere Recycling Program
Beginning January 1, 2018, the cost of recycling your trash with Republic Services will now be included at no additional cost to Windermere residents. The contract with Republic Services was up for renewal and negotiated at the best price possible. The trash fee for 2017 was $125 per household and the fee for 2018 is $130, just $5 more per year which is a 4% increase, fixed for the next 3 years.
After the new contract price was agreed upon, the HOA Board went back to Republic Services and asked that recycling be included at no additional cost given in part the issues homeowners have had with recycling in the past. Your Republic trash fee is paid in January of each year and is billed along with your Annual HOA Assessment.
FOR HOMEOWNERS WHO CURRENTLY RECYCLE:
If you currently pay individually for recycling service with Republic Services, your account will be automatically canceled effective December 31, 2017. Starting January 1, 2018 your recycling service will fall under the Windermere HOA contract and you will not see an interruption in your current service. You do not need to sign up for recycling. Any credit on your account should be refunded back to you by Republic Services.

If you currently recycle and wish to continue, you can keep your current recycling carts. If you are setting up a new account and need new recycle carts, please allow 7 days for them to be delivered after you order service.
